“As we embarked on our two-day journey in Jeruk Manis, I was struck by the profound sense of connection to nature and community that permeated every moment. Despite the occasional rain showers and rustic settings, the participants were captivated by the expert presentations and hands-on workshops.

Nabiya, a renowned influencer and content creator, inspired us to think creatively about storytelling and content production. Her infectious enthusiasm was contagious, as she shared her expertise on crafting compelling narratives. Ramdhani’s session on basic journalism skills was equally engaging, with participants actively participating despite the inclement weather. His insights sparked a desire to share our own stories and experiences with others.

The highlight of the workshop was the photography and videography session, led by a talented young filmmaker with experience in documentary and social film-making. His approachable teaching style made us feel empowered to create our own videos, capturing the beauty of Jeruk Manis’ landscapes and culture.

As we explored the village’s natural attractions – lush paddy fields, terracing ricefields, and majestic waterfalls – I realized that this rural gem is more than just a destination: it’s an experience that reconnects us with nature, ourselves, and each other.

The rain on the second day only added to the adventure, as we walked through the scenic paddy fields and streams leading to the breathtaking Durian Indah waterfall. The sense of camaraderie among participants was palpable, as we shared stories and laughter together.

Our 2-3 hour journey taught us that preserving nature can create an eternal beauty, while rural tourism can bring people together in a way that transcends cultural boundaries. We learned that sometimes, it’s necessary to disconnect from our devices and reconnect with the world around us.

The takeaway from this workshop is clear: Jeruk Manis has the power to inspire a new generation of travelers, creatives, and storytellers. It offers a unique opportunity to break free from the monotony of daily life and tap into the beauty of rural Indonesia. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or just starting out, Jeruk Manis is a destination that will leave you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and inspired.”
